  • Overview

    Mellanox is looking for a talent Storage Engineer for a Storage QA Engineer position joining End-to-End Storage Verification team.

    The ideal candidate will take part in wide areas of End-To-End storage system solutions testing, networking and automation, writing & executing tests, report & debug on top Mellanox E2E Products.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Develop and Execute testing procedures for new and existing products with emphasis on emulation of customer environments.
      • This may include building Data Center clusters and Cloud environments, large scale networks emulation, and other vendors interoperability tests.
    • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools in Python.
    • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
    • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
    • Root-cause software and hardware that do not conform to specifications.
    • Clear verbal and written communication.
    • Be a strong advocate of software quality.
    • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

    Qualifications

    Education & Certifications

    • Linux SysAdmin & DevOps Engineer.
    • IT Storage Engineer with vast experience in various storage solutions (NAS & SAN).
    • Storage Certifications: EMC, HP, NetApp, etc.
    • Cisco or Juniper Switches Certifications (E.g. CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIS) – advantage.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Over 3 years of experience as IT Storage Engineer or Software QA Engineer.
    • Solid experience in storage design, arch, deployment and administration.
    • In depth knowledge in storage protocols: iSCSI, NFS, FCP, FCoE.
    • Comprehensive Networking background.
    • In depth knowledge in protocols: ARP/RARP, ICMP, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, HTTP/S.
    • Advantages:
      • NVMe, NVMe-OF.
      • SDS: Software-Defined Storage.
      • Experience in IPv6.
      • Experience in large datacenter networks.
      • Experience in virtualization.
      • Proven programing experience in Python / other OOP.
    • In depth knowledge in Linux, KVM, ESXi and Windows operating systems.
    • Independent worker, able to plan and execute in area of his responsibility.
    • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
