    Mellanox Technologies is looking for a Software Application Engineer, with background in the areas of driver development and Infiniband/Ethernet and Networking.    As a SW Application Engineer, you will support our customers’ technical needs and help deliver Mellanox next generation’s solutions for the HPC, cloud, Web-2.0 and enterprise data center.   The Software Application Engineer will drive technical improvements to Mellanox products while interfacing with most technical business units in the company.


    • Work as customer technical expert to address customer requirements and solve their technical challenges
    • Run and own proof of concept activities introducing Mellanox products and integrating them to new and existing accounts
    • Debug SW issues and provide solutions to customer
    • Lead complex escalations with customers, build and lead engineering task force, build debug strategies and lead them to execution, while communicating to customer
    • Participate in building SW products roadmap by providing customer product requirements and feedback to engineering and marketing teams
    • Train internal and external technical teams, be the learning interface between R&D and support teams


    • B.S. Computer Engineering/Software Engineering/Electrical Engineering 
    • Minimum 3+ years computer software development with knowledge of Linux kernel and drivers development
    • Work experience with L2 Networking
    • Good verbal communication and presentation skills in English
    • Experience working in a customer-oriented environment with ability to handle and resolve critical customer issues/problems
    • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work directly with customers
    • Knowledge of virtualization environments, DPDK a plus
    • Knowledge of InfiniBand – a plus
