  • Overview

    Mellanox is looking for Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support our OEM and ODM design-in solutions in Taiwan. The candidate should have a strong technical background and show good understanding of host, network and storage systems. In this position the candidate will work with our OEM and ODM customers in integrating Mellanox silicon, NIC, switch and interconnect products into to their solution portfolio and secure design wins.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include technical management of accounts; participating in the project life cycle including definition, design reviews, HW and SW bring-up, SW porting, performance optimization and ongoing support; tight collaboration with Mellanox engineering on issue resolution; preparing and delivering technical training/presentations; and participating in pre-sales activities.

    Qualifications

    • 5 years of Network HW Development, Technical Pre-Sales or Advanced Technical Support experience.
    • Knowledge and experience in the areas of high-speed board design, signal integrity, EMI and ESD testing
    • Knowledge of networking protocols, including layers 1, 2, 3 and 4
    • Knowledge in system architecture & software network stacks
    • Understanding of Linux/Windows/VMware internals
    • Familiarity with 10/40 Gb Ethernet and/or Fiber Channel protocols
    • Excellent communication & organizational skills
    • BSEE/BSCS or higher
    • Up to 20% travel required
