Overview

Mellanox Technologies is seeking an senior Ethernet Network Application Engineer, with background in Ethernet Network designs, switch systems and complex datacenters topologies. As a networking expert Application Engineer, you will support our customers’ technical needs and help deliver Mellanox next generation’s solutions for the cloud, Web-2.0 and enterprise data center. You will drive technical improvements to Mellanox products while interfacing with most Technical and Business units in the company.

Responsibilities

-Be the team’s networking technical expert, work to sharpen customer solutions and solve customer’s technical challenges.

-Own relevant proof of concept activities, introduce Mellanox products and integrate them to new/existing accounts.

-Lead complex escalations with customers, build and lead engineering task force, build debug strategies and lead them to execution, while communicating to customer.

-Participate in building switch networking product roadmap by providing customer product requirements and feedback to engineering and marketing teams.

-Train internal and external technical teams, be the learning interface between R&D and support teams.

Qualifications

-B.S. Computer Engineering/Software Engineering/Electrical Engineering 

-Extensive knowledge and troubleshooting experience with network equipment and network protocols including IP, L2, L3 protocols

-Knowledge and firsthand experience with Linux operating system networking stack – a plus

-Experience in SW development or IT expertise on Ethernet Switch Systems on both L2 and L3 – a plus

-Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

-Good verbal communication and presentation skills

-Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work directly with customers
