Overview

The Senior Sales Director for DellEMC will be leading and directing a world-wide team of sales and technical resources to further grow our commercial relationship with DellEMC.  The Sr. Sales Director will be accountable for worldwide direct revenue from direct sales to DellEMC against quarterly and annual sales goals, directing and guiding a worldwide team of direct reports and cross-functional company stakeholders, setting sales/business strategy for the account to align with company goals, managing and reporting 3yr revenue outlook, developing incremental revenue opportunities, new design wins, sell-thru/sell-with sales and marketing engagements, and developing and growing executive level relationships between DellEMC and Mellanox.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
  • Manage the DellEMC sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Manage the use of budgets for T&E, marketing, samples and evaluation units
  • Define optimal sales force structure to grow revenue
  • Manage DellEMC customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting through Salesforce.com
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team through weekly status reports
  • Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in managing major OEM sales of silicon, board, or system products, exceeding $100M annual revenues
  • Demonstrate successful management of direct-report teams of 5 or more employees
  • Demonstrate command of server, networking, and storage industry trends, OEM business, and technologies
  • Aggressive and diligent attitude in reaching sales objective and leading direct and cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate experience in developing sales business plans to rapidly develop new and grow existing OEM business.
  • Self-starter who is able to successfully work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Highly energetic personality who enjoys working in a growing team atmosphere and a good attitude towards working in a highly dynamic work environment
