Overview

Mellanox is looking for an Experienced SW QA Engineer joining End-to-End SW Cloud Verification Team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute testing procedures for new and existing products with emphasis on emulation of customer
    • This may include building Data Center clusters and Cloud environments, large scale networks emulation, and other vendors interoperability tests
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Root-cause software and hardware that do not conform to specifications
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Qualifications

Education

  • BA/BSc In CS/EE or equivalent experience as IT/Networking Engineer
  • Certifications:
    • CCNA/JNCIA or equivalent – advantage
    • MCSA/MCSE – advantage
    • MCITP: Virtualization – big advantage
    • VMware VCP5 or VCP6 – big advantage

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A. / BSc. / Practical Software engineer
  • Over 5 years of experience as Software QA Engineer
  • In depth knowledge in Linux, ESXi and Windows Operating Systems
  • Hands-on experience with one of following virtualization platforms : VMware vSphere / Microsoft Hyper-V/ Openstack
    • Microsoft Azure > An advantage!
  • Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems internals (kernel, drivers, shell, services).
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell/Bash/Python.
    • Python OOP > An advantage!
  • Independent worker, able to plan and execute in area of his responsibility.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
