Overview

Mellanox is looking for a Senior Network QA Engineer to join our End-to-End Switches Verification group.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute testing procedures for new and existing products with emphasis on emulation of customer.
    • This may include building Data Center clusters and Cloud environments, large scale networks emulation, and other vendors interoperability tests
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Root-cause software and hardware that do not conform to specifications
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Qualifications

  • Education

    • BA/BSc In CS/EE or equivalent experience as IT/Networking Engineer
    • Certifications:
      • CCNA/JNCIA or equivalent – minimal requirements
      • CCNP/JNCIP/JNCIS – advantage
      • CCIE/JNCIE – big advantage

     

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Over 5 years of experience as Software QA Engineer
    • In depth knowledge in one or more of the following protocols:
      • ARP/RARP, ICMP, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, HTTP/S
      • L2 & L3 Protocols (VLANs, RSTP, MSTP, PVRST, IP Routing, BGP, OSPF, PIM-SM / SSM, IGMP)
      • IPv6
    • Proven hands-on experience with Ethernet Switches: Cisco/Arista/Juniper L2 & L3 Switches & Routers
    • Advantages:
      • Experience in large datacenter networks
      • Experience in virtualization
    • In depth knowledge in Linux, KVM, ESX and Windows Operating Systems
    • Programming knowledge in one of following languages: Bash / Python / other OOP
    • Traffic generator: Ixia, Smartbits
